Tonight I gave the puppies some chicken pieces....there was much whining, smacking of lips and general happiness. They're not at all capable of eating the pieces yet, but that didn't stop them from looking like they knew what to do!

Just some pics
OK, after 40 minutes of pen cleaning, this is the best I can do tonight. The crew has been outside 3 days in a row now, have spent a lot of time making Parker feel uncomfortable (but he's to dumb to leave) and a lot of one on one with Vinny the cat. So, here's some photos taken over the last couple of days. ![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigIcTNJrVyEd10-UkjaqO6pclkGFmVZJChauiakOklwvvDk5n2LFw9ahm-dz-C9YBt4mGFxF4LG_xVUREZZz98zE6RdJdbRt2H4H9AP8DPOW8FHhrEowEiMckUfUsN9Fcs8TXPo4o0_YA/s1600/Nina's+puppies+2014+005.JPG)

Nom, nom, nom, nom
Here is the first raw meal, some nice ground chicken. A couple weren't sure what to do with it at first, but everyone caught on quickly and it was like a plague of locusts. This will really help to take the burden off Nina.

"Big Dog" Collars
So, as I said this morning the Velcro PupColors they'd been wearing have been falling off and I really needed a way to start keeping better track of who is who without catching puppies to look for markings. So, tonight they all got new 'big dog' collars they can grow into. For those that have been trying to keep track this is who is wearing what:
Yellow female - Apples collar
White female - hot pink collar
Blue female - blue squares collar
Green female - peacock collar
Orange female - rainbow swirls collar
Black female - pink pawprints collar
Purple female - purple with daisies collar
Grey male - grey camo collar
Brown male - black pawprints collar
Beige male - blue plaid collar

Catching Up
No idea where Tuesday and Wednesday went! Puppies are changing daily....this morning they all managed to come out of the sleeping/potty area without any help. I'm trying to give them something new in the puppy pen every day. While they aren't awake for more than 15-20 minutes at a time, it's a very, very busy 15-20 minutes. There is lots of barking, growling and play fighting going on. My plans are to introduce some ground chicken this weekend and get their butts outside. Tonight they will have new collars, as the Velcro Pupcolors really aren't holding very well and if I want to be able to sit back and observe them to figure out personalities, everyone really needs a collar. There are a bunch that appear the same unless you're up close and personal. Below are some pics I took Tuesday night....in the first one, can you still spot Nina?

Big Babies
Wow, what a difference a day makes. Tonight the crew had some goat milk and it was much more 'civilized'.....not nearly so much walking through the milk, for the most part they kept outside the dishes. Much slurping going on!
They are very tired tonight. Four groups of friends came to visit today, so lots of cuddling and playing. Teeth are getting very pointy!
I need to go to the barn tomorrow to unearth some of the toys down there and introduce some new things to the pen. They seem to really enjoy the pool noodles.
First a photo of the whole group passed out after Friends #3 had left, then a couple of extra pics! Oh, and for any of you that were watching Timber Kings on HGTV, the little boy cuddling puppies is Beat Schwaller's Eli. Enjoy!

Milk Duds!
They really are "milk duds"....what a horrible mess they make when they have pans of goat milk. Here's a video to prove it. The pool noodles have been added to give the puppies obstacles to climb over. They really seem to have fun climbing over. We can now feel teeth coming in (poor Nina!) and it's impossible to sneak past the puppy pen. They are very, very vocal, and there is lots of play fighting complete with growls! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zNwxVfCuGdw&feature=youtu.be

Time Flies!
Sorry everyone.....didn't realize I hadn't done an update since Wednesday!! Yikes! Well, yesterday morning I introduced warm goat milk to the crew....it was messy! Goat milk on head, goat milk on paws, goat milk on the mats....they really enjoyed themselves. See the photo below!
Puppies are much more active and inter-active this weekend, crawling all over us when we're in the pen. They're also starting to get the idea about using the puppy pee pads. Most of them start to head for the pads when they get up, I spend a lot of time placing....and replacing....puppies on the pads when they wake up. Nina is less than enthusiastic about spending a lot of time with them. I may introduce some ground chicken next weekend to take the burden off her some. Below are a few more pics from the last few days. They have grown so much!

Cat Sniffing
Last night was the last Biosensor and novel scent evening. As we always do, we left 'eau du chat' as the last novel scent, 'cause it's so amusing! We video'd some of the puppies and here is a link for one of the boys: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MvNIsnYP7ZU&list=HL1397528925&feature=mh_lolz
You can see how interested he is in the scent as he drags his nose through Vinny's coat. Vinny is a very, very, very good cat!
Darryl was home today, so he took care of Nina and the babies. This afternoon he sent me a text: OK, they can hear. No more sneaking into the basement. Help!
Also below are some pics I took this morning of the gang and a link to another video taken yesterday, complete with much barking and screeching from the babies: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XexLqwcGKDg&feature=youtu.be
